I just sent the following message to a scientist behind the following research.
I am a high functioning autistic man with a background in chaos (dynamical systems), complex systems theory, computer science, psychology, brain research and so on. I have also worked one on one as a behavioral assistant with low functioning autistic people. I also have diagnoses of depression, anxiety and suffer from sensory overload, although in the last five years psychiatrist have suggested that I don't have autism, depression or anxiety and that I might be bipolar, schizophrenic or have borderline personality disorder. I have also been a yogi involved in mediation for decades as well as having heavily experimented with psychedelics in the early Eighties. This causes me to suspect that I exist on the absolute edge of order and chaos as a profoundly self-referential being capable of not only being able to convince of virtually any idea, but to drift into states of consciousness associated associated with a wide variety of psychiatric problems and that I am likely a good example of a seriously meta-stable mind. I have independently concluded that there is a deep connection between intelligence, autism, psychiatric problems and the boundary of order and chaos.
